Stage

"The King and Friar Bacon" is a comedy directed by Kiriri Natsume and based on Robert Greene's greatest popular success of the same name.

"The King and Friar Bacon" was produced by Theatrical company MODERN CLASSICISM.

I was in charge of costume design for all characters in this play.

And all costumes were made by Aiko Inoue of a costume maker.

This was performed in Tokyo, Japan.


Plot

In thirteenth century England, Oxford University.


"King Henry Ⅲ" of the hated person came to meet "Friar Bacon" of the hated person who is isolated by the secret room.


King Henry Ⅲ gave a order, "Make the 'artificial wall made of brass' that outdo Babel appear overnight".

On the other hand, Friar Bacon gave a condition, "Make Oxford University the black magic university and appoint me the chancellor".


They crossed a hand for each other's expectations, But...
